Andrea Aste ist Multimedia-Künstler, Animator, Autor und Illustrator mit einem Fokus auf visuelles Storytelling und die Verbindung von Kunst, Symbolik und Technologie.
Seine Arbeiten wurden international ausgestellt, unter anderem im Musée Grévin in Paris, Montreal und Genf, im Naturkundemuseum Turin sowie auf der Biennale in Venedig.
Im Bereich Tarot und grafische Erzählformate ist er bekannt für Werke wie The Lost Code of Tarot, The Tarot of Light and Shadow und The Book of Shadows: An Alchemist’s Story. Mit Oracolarium entwickelte er zudem ein innovatives Orakeldeck, das durch Augmented Reality erweitert wird.
Nach seiner Tätigkeit als Set-Designer für Arturo Brachetti arbeitet er heute im Vereinigten Königreich und entwickelt seine Techniken für Live-Illustration und Animation weiter, auch für Bühnenproduktionen.
Aktuell widmet er sich neuen Projekten im Bereich mythologischer Bildwelten. Seine Arbeit verbindet Kunst, Technologie und Mythologie zu immersiven visuellen Erlebnissen.

Inspired by Italo Calvino’s novel „The Castle of Crossed Destinies“, Andrea has created a tarot unlike any other: a mysterious castle whose rooms constantly rearrange themselves, reflecting the questions, emotions and inner journeys of those who enter.
What began as a literary inspiration evolved into a deeply layered artistic and philosophical project. Every card represents a room within the castle, connected through a unique Miriorama structure that allows the cards to form endless visual and symbolic pathways. The result is a tarot deck that functions simultaneously as a divination tool, a storytelling device and an immersive symbolic landscape.
In this conversation Andrea shares the origins of the project, the creative process behind the artwork, and the many influences that shaped the deck – from philosophy, psychology and literature to mythology, symbolism and personal experience.

Imagination, Magie und Tarot – ein Gespräch mit Andrea Aste
In diesem Gespräch stellt Petra Baum den spirituellen Künstler Andrea Aste als Speaker des Tarot-Festivals „The Heart & Science of Tarot“ …vor.
Andrea Aste verbindet in seiner Arbeit Kunst, Tarot und Imagination zu einem vielschichtigen, kreativen Ausdruck. Sein Weg begann mit Studien der Philosophie und der antiken griechischen Kultur, führte ihn jedoch bald in eine eigene künstlerische und spirituelle Richtung.
Heute arbeitet er multimedial – als Autor, Künstler und Kreativer, der bewusst verschiedene Ausdrucksformen miteinander verbindet. Für ihn ist Imagination kein Gegensatz zur Realität, sondern deren Grundlage: eine Kraft, durch die Ideen entstehen und schließlich in die Welt gebracht werden.
Im Zentrum seines Schaffens steht die Rückverbindung zu einem ursprünglichen Erleben von Welt – geprägt von Neugier, Staunen, Tiefe und auch dem Mut, sich dem Unbekannten zu öffnen.
Seine Arbeit bewegt sich dabei bewusst zwischen Licht und Schatten, zwischen Mystik, Symbolik und innerer Erfahrung.
Beim Tarot-Festival am Bodensee wird Andrea Aste diesen Zugang in einem besonderen Projekt vorstellen: Dark Shadow. Eine multimediale Auseinandersetzung mit Tarot, Imagination und okkultem Wissen, die Film, Geschichte und Symbolik miteinander verbindet. Ein Vortrag, der Tarot nicht nur erklärt, sondern als kreativen und lebendigen Prozess erfahrbar macht.
